Hotels in the Loire Valley Region:

The Loire Valley, often called the “Garden of France,” is a dreamy escape into a world of enchanting châteaux, rolling vineyards, and picturesque villages. This UNESCO World Heritage site boasts some of the most stunning Renaissance castles in Europe, like the fairytale Château de Chambord and the romantic Château de Chenonceau, spanning the Cher River.

Beyond the architecture, the region is a haven for food and wine lovers, offering exquisite Loire wines, including crisp Sauvignon Blanc and elegant sparkling Crémant, paired with farm-to-table cuisine. Whether you’re cycling through sunflower-dotted countryside, strolling lush gardens, or indulging in local delicacies, the Loire Valley offers a perfect blend of culture, history, and natural beauty. It’s the ideal destination for those seeking a magical escape into the heart of France!

Auberge du Bon Laboureur

Located near the incredible Château de Chenonceau, the Auberge de Bon Laboureur has been family-owned for over a hundred years but the building is more than twice as old as that. Started as a coaching inn in 1786, this charming boutique hotel almost feels like a private residence, but with the style and service of a professional lodging. The chateau, which you can read about here, is a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. The auberge’s restaurant, run by chef and proprietor Antoine Jeudi, is well-reputed for its classic French cuisine. With 28 rooms and a quiet atmosphere, this is an excellent choice for your visit to the Loire Valley.

Address: 6 Rue Du Docteur Bretonneau, Chenonceaux, Indre-et-Loire, 37150

La Borde en Sologne – Château & Spa

Located in the Loire Valley, amongst the most famous French châteaux, La Borde en Sologne is an elegant 17th-century chateaux, family owned for generations. The property features French and English gardens, a private lake, a working farm, and lovely murals and grand fireplaces. In addition, the estate has a few modern touches like two swimming pools, a spa and tennis courts. The rooms are as elegant as the main areas. The rooms feature high ceilings and herringbone parquet floors and a mix of antique and designer pieces and large, modern bathrooms.

Guests can enjoy traditional French fare for breakfast, lunch or dinner in the Restaurant Mémoir. Their are picturesque walking trails leading from the château through the forest, and bicycles are provided free of charge.

Address: Château de la Borde, Vernou-en-Sologne, France

Relais de Chambord

The Relais de Chambord is a 17th-century manor that has been completely redone to add modern structural elements and amenities but still keeping its historic charm — plus the gorgeous views of Château de Chambord’s iconic turrets and large property.  Guests will find rooms decked out in French style with modern touches, like wall murals of the Château. There’s a restaurant that serves regional Loire Valley flavors — make sure to book a table on the terrace that has incredible views of the Château.
Address: Place Saint-Louis, Chambord, 41250, France

Les Sources de Cheverny

Surrounded by the forests and vineyards of the Loire Valley, Les Sources de Cheverny is a modern wine-country classic — a spectacular château and estate transformed by its present-day owners into a luxurious and memorable small hotel. In its rooms and suites, period architectural features and antique pieces blend seamlessly with modern furniture and contemporary design. There’s a pool, a Caudalie spa, and electric bikes available for exploring the countryside; you’ll be back, of course, in time for dinner, as the offerings of the hotel’s restaurants and wine bar are essential to the Sources de Cheverny experience.

From the glamorous beaches of the French Riviera to the lavender fields of Provence, this region dazzles with beauty at every turn. Explore the vibrant markets of Aix-en-Provence, sip rosé in a hillside vineyard, or wander the cobblestone streets of medieval towns like Avignon and Gordes. With its azure coastline, golden sunshine, and world-class cuisine, including Provençal classics like bouillabaisse and ratatouille, the South of France is a sensory paradise. Auberge La Coste

Set on the sprawling grounds of Château La Coste, this recently opened spot offers 76 rooms and suites. The hotel has the feeling of a welcoming inn, with archways leading to stone terraces and gardens, where lingering is encouraged. Interiors are bright and minimalist with white and pastel colors, and guests shouldn’t miss the on-site restaurant, where the hotel’s garden inspires the menu. For the ultimate Provencal experience, book a room with vineyard views or a private terrace. Guests can learn the nuances of the estate’s organic wine by booking a wine workshop, complete with a tasting and tour.

Address: 2750 Route de la Cride, Le Puy-Sainte-Reparade, Bouches-du-Rhône, 13610

Villa Saint-Ange

Villa Saint-Ange is an architecturally fantastic 18th-century villa. While it is centrally located in the town of Aix-en-Provence, the grounds and estate are roomy enough to offer a slower pace of provence countryside. The interior decor is a feast for the senses: rooms offer parquet floors, opulent silk fabrics, monogrammed robes and more luxury details that the French do so well. In the main space, guests can enjoy an outdoor pool (it does get hot in this region in the summer!) and a classy salon for tea or afternoon apéritifs.

Guests can also enjoy the terrace and pretty garden. The restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine and a lovely zinc-topped bar. This is an excellent spot to enjoy all that the Provence region of France has to offer (think, “Year in Provence“).

Address: 5 traverse Saint-Pierre, Aix-en-Provence, France

Hôtel Le Negresco

Part Luxury Hotel, part Art Hotel, part Historical Icon. Of all the lovely hotels I have stayed in, the Negresco is one of the nicest. The location is fantastic as it is right on the Promenade des Anglais in the heart of Nice. The interiors are stunning with its own art collection and different themed art on every floor. The buffet breakfast on the patio, watching all the action on the Promenade while soaking up the sun is to die for. The lounge features live music and incredibly crafted cocktails, with an enormous portrait of Louis XIV, the Sun King himself.

Address: 37 Promenade Des Anglais, Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, 6000

Hôtel La Voie Lactée

This luxury boutique hotel is located in the village of La Mongie, in the Hautes-Pyrénées region of Southwest France, and is situated directly across from the ski lift and the cable car to the Pic du Midi observatory. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains from the ground-level lounge, the restaurant, the bar, and all of the guest rooms.

La Voie Lactée means “the Milky Way” and rooms have astronomical monikers in a nod to the incredibly starry nights the region enjoys due to light pollution restrictions. The hotel has been renovated to transform it from a humble family-run inn to a modern-mountain, architecturally designed hotel.

After a tough day of skiing, relax in the wellness area which offers a spa, a sauna, and a pair of open-air Nordic-style baths. Enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea, and après-ski drinks by the cozy fireplace facing the mountains.

Le Domaine des Prés Verts & Spa

In the beginning, it was but a single room in a treehouse-style suite overlooking the hills of Burgundy. Over the next 10 years, this very unique luxury hotel has expanded to several lodgings across four locations in wine country. The hotel’s architecture features indoor and outdoor spaces designed to help guests relax and enjoy the nature. The design is modern and rustic-chic with exposed brick, natural stone, and local wood.

Across the street, in the medieval village of Châteauneuf, are more luxury abodes along with the hotel’s bistro and boutique; and further to the north, there is another stylish treehouse guest suite, so privacy is guaranteed. The hotel is rated exceptional and with only 8 rooms, it can be difficult to secure a reservation!

Domaine Les Oliviers de Palombaggia

Up on a hillside on the island of Corsica, just off the southern coast of France, is the beautiful family-run boutique hotel, Domaine Les Oliviers de Palombaggia. Each ‘room’ is actually a stone cottage inspired by the traditional architecture of the region. Each cottage is unique, with whitewashed walls, stone floors and wood-beamed ceilings. Some of the cottages offer indoor-outdoor kitchens and expansive decks with small plunge pools. The larger villas have private pools and outdoor showers – a dream! The environment is quiet and peaceful, as the property is surrounded by olive trees. To note, there is no restaurant on site but breakfast is available as well as a wine and cheese offering in the afternoons.

These additions have brought a new level of hip to this classic seaside town. Perched on a bluff overlooking the Atlantic, Regina Experimental isn’t shy when it comes to design. The hotel’s center atrium wows guests with a soaring glass ceiling and plenty of seating areas.
